Landscape Management
When you really love your landscape, you want it to look its best. It takes two things to keep it that way, time and money. Quality landscape management can only be practiced by setting goals for the landscape and the people who will maintain it. This involves allocating a sufficient number of dollars to address the needs and resource inputs. including personnel, and allowing enough time for the landscape to mature and grow.
Landscape Details can provide a road map to quality. Quality management starts by defining the goals and destination of your journey. The “road” you take will depend on budget constraints (fuel), and the ability to train or locate trained individuals with the skills (vehicle) necessary to carry your landscape to its desired destination. Studying the scope and vision of the property owner or property manager draws the “map”. A determination of the best “route” for the business or homeowner to maneuver is decided by budget preparation and time limitations.
A step-by-step road map will be drawn to guide personnel in planning what to pack for the trip (tools and materials). We are aware that detours (change of plans), side trips (diversions from goals), and even natural disasters (unplanned expenses) will occur along the road. It is our job to assist you with the necessary changes to the budget and personnel that will still help you to arrive safely at your destination.
In years of practicing horticulture at Schlumberger, The Houstonian, and Fiesta Texas, David has never failed to meet a prescribed budget. It is only through careful goal setting and planning that quality landscapes evolve. Whether it is a home landscape or an eleven-million-dollar landscape, every dollar spent should be spent wisely.
Understanding how to get the most beauty for the dollar is not something that can be taught in schools or gained by practical knowledge alone, but rather a combination of education and skills brought to practice in varying situations. When you really love your landscape, you will take the time to manage the two most important elements necessary to achieve your goals. Let us help with our experience and advice.
